If your stuck with someone with B.O for more than 5minutes do you tell them? Or do you keep your mouth shut and say nothing?

It is said that good manors involves not pointing out other people's bad manors. I think it depends on how long you are going to be around this person. If you are only going to be around the smelly person for a day or two, live with it. If this person is working with you or is moving into your home, you need to mention something. You might try saying something delicate like "Your underarm deodorant has a weird smell. It smells just like, well nervous sweat or dirty socks. Why don't you try something else that smells like clean things, like flowers or spices".

Would you want to know? I sure as heck would. I worked with a guy like that and we just bought him some antiperspirant and some Axe deoderant spray- it seemed to work cause he smelled pretty good from that point on. We had known him for awhile though and it became somewhat of a joke after. I would approach it delicately.

It would be on a need to know basis.
If I knew the person really well and could care less about his feelings (e.g. my brother but not my boyfriend, my parents but not my grandparents) or if I was going to be locked in an airless room with the person for three days. But if you can get away then no reason to stop and point out the obvious.

I don't say anything, but If I have to see them often and it's a chronic problem, I may apporach them gently on the subject or just start a conversation about deoderant or showering or something.

Play willie foo foo and act like you don't know it's them and sniff..sniff .. and ask-DO YOU SMELL SOMETHING BAD ?? WHAT IS THAT SMELL?? I sure hate that I have such a sensitive nose!! Be kind about it even though I know for a fact some people do not care either way. So Good Luck !

Depends on how much you like them, I guess.
Also, depends on how well you get on with them (if you know them to begin with)...
Maybe the best way is to offer them a mint ?

I have never told someone when they have BO. I suffer in silence and hope not to meet them again.

hellz yes. BO is nasty but not as nasty as the smell of straight up AS$. let me define the smell of straight up AS$ for those unfamiliar with the term: it is a putrid stench of a sweaty butt crack after a nasty poop that has NOT yet been WIPED. to sum up, it is an unwiped sweaty poo filled butt crack and that smell. TELL SOMEONE IF THEY SMELL LIKE STRAIGHT UP AS$ OR BO.
