You'll need 2 people. Wrap the cat in a towel with only the head out, and hold her close to you so she can't wriggle free. Open her mouth, and push the pill all the way to the back of her throat. Close her mouth and tilt her head up, holding her mouth shut gently, and massage her throat for a few minutes. This will stimulate her to swallow, and she'll swallow the pill. You have to push the pill far in and close the mouth fast or she'll manage to push it out with her tongue.

We have had worms in the past, it comes from eating a flea. It is always a fight to break the cycle of fleas, worms, fleas, etc. You need to use a flea treatment that not only kills the fleas but the eggs too and use a flea comb on our kitty. Cats are smart and will not eat food with medicine in it so you have to just hold the cat down open her mouth shove the pill in close the mouth and you can just touch her nose and she will swallow. If you have to they do make a pill giving contraption at the pet store, but I don't think you will need it. Just pick it at the back of the throat & hold the mouth closed and she will swallow eventually.

There's a product called "Pill Pockets" available at many pet stores. It's a little meaty pouch you can hide the pill in. You could try that, but cats are really good at picking out yucky stuff.

I would crush up the pill (either in a pill crusher or between two spoons) and mix it in with something yummy and strong-flavored that your kitty loves. Plain yogurt, sour cream, cream cheese, pâte, whatever. Meat-based baby foods are good, too. Just make sure there's no onion powder in it.

My cat did the same thing then I tried holding her in a towel, but she always struggled and got agressive. So I do what the vet told me & that is: grab her mane above the neck and gently lift her. She doesn't struggle as this is how the mother would hold her plus her mouth autmatically opens, and then use a pill popper to push the pill down her throat.

I know what exactly to do ..
Get a syringe from your vet ..make sure no needle is in it . And crush up the pill and mix it with little bit of water.. put it in syringe with funnel and gently put the tip in your cats mouth and push till it's empty.

I've had the hardest cats to give pills too and feral ones ..it's the easiest way I find .

Try the above suggestions or go back to the vet and have to cat get the deworming injection. It may be easier and less stressful, and this way you will know for sure that your cat got the medicine.

My cat won't eat pills in her food. To get her to take a pill, i have to sit on the ground, hold her between my legs, and take her head in one hand and then squeeze her jaw near the back of her mouth. This makes them automatically open their mouths, then I place the pill as far back as possible and she'll usually swallow it. She hates me for a few hours after but I'd rather have a pissed off cat than a dead one.

Yes, shove it down her throat. I know the sound of that is not very nice. but cats are very intelligent creature despite the hours their wasting on their sleeps, any tricks only results in failure. Just keep it light, she knows that you only want to put the thingy on her throat and not to hurt her. But force is necessary, it will be a good exercise for you and your cat. another way is cheese. I never actually try this before but I saw one episode of the simpsons where they wrap the pill with chesse and give it to the dog. I know cheese is safe for cat, I try to give it once to my cat and she seems to like it.

my cat had worms too so the vet gave her some liquid dewormer orally, i dont know why they didnt give her that, but in her case u can get her from the pet store cat food sauce it has 3 tastes usually, bacon, beef liver, chicken...so put a drop on it and make her feel that its a tree, u can put it in the treat bag and shake it for her and give it to her, she will think its a treat and eat it. good luck

Put it in a small amount of pudding.
P.S. Full grown cats can't tolerate much milk based products.
Or wrap the cat in a towel have someone the cat's comfortable with & use your fingertip to stuff it down.
