Deists believe that there is a Higher Power or Creator. We do not attempt to define God, nor do we call him/her/it by one or the same name. We do not restrict, limit or label the Energy that is around and within everything.

We do not prefer to conform to religious constraints, but we respect the religious people for their choices. We see nature as a magnificence that we are in awe of.

Every Deist will give you a different version of the concept of our belief....and we agree to disagree, even with each other. We all use reason and personal experience/knowledge/opinions as our decision that a Force Greater Than Ourselves.....has created this mystery we call life.

Deism makes more sense to me than Agnosticism.

Peace!

I personally like Humanism as a better answer.

Secular humanism:
Secular humanism is the branch of humanism that rejects theistic religious belief and the existence of a supernatural. It is often associated with scientists and academics, although it is not at all limited to these groups. Secular humanists generally believe that following humanist principles naturally leads to secularism, on the basis that religious views cannot be supported rationally. There are secular humanistic organizations, though these could not be accurately described as churches.

More often than not, secular humanism is what people are referring to when they speak of humanism in general, making it something of a default. Some secular humanists take this even further by denying that religious humanists qualify as genuine humanists. Others feel that the ethical side of humanism transcends the issue of religion, because being a good person is more important than supernatural beliefs.

Some people use the term humanist to refer to all atheists, though the accuracy of this usage is disputed.

What about both? They do not conflict.

Deists, to my understanding, believe in a god (or gods) who created everything, but have nothing to do with it now. He/She/They abandoned the world/universe after creating it and either stand(s) by and watch(es) or doesn't care at all and may not even know we're here.

An agnostic simply doesn't believe that the existence or non-existence of any deity can be proven or disproved. You can be a deist and an agnostic at the same time, by believing that god created the universe and then abandoned it, but also believe that no one can prove it or disprove it.

Sorry for being so indecisive, but I like them both - they both are valid viewpoints, and I even have an agnostic viewpoint on religion myself - I'm an agnostic Pagan (among other things).

being agnostic at least gives you room to be right or wrong, if you list a god or goddess of any sort then you are stuck trying to defend, being agnostic only says, i dont really know what is out there so im not going to allow you to put me in a tiny box with a few other, whatever you chose for the label.

pantheism, everyman, the sun, moon, stars, ocean, sea the shore, a blade of grass, all of lifes creations are sacred and to be respected and treated with dignity, God's are usually attached to some religion that requires some type of closed minded thinking such as blind faith and some religions forbid questioning of supposed facts or values or critical thought, and call it heresy, so deism is highly offensive

God is to me a logical concept when that concept is presented logically
