I have Crohns disease? Which line of defense would accept me and what would you suggest? My husband is Army National Guard former Marine Corps. I always wanted to join military and still think of it from time to time. But i do have Crohns disease and I take medication everyday. What do you think? I don't doubt that i could handle the stress or even the hard work. I am very determined. Thanks in advance.

I think my husband might faint..but the more he is over there..i feel i need to do my part and i believe that the military offers so much to an individual. I could grow in so many ways.

I am sorry but I don't think that the military would be able to take you in because of the risk's involved with CD..

I doubt you would be able to join but check into the National Guard.
Think about about being a civilian employee of one of the branches.

No, I know of no branch of the armed forces which will take you with Crohn's disease. However, it doesn't hurt to ask, and you've got nothing to lose.

Probably not.

Yes, it's sad.

I too want to join the active duty Army. But I am 35 and homosexual. People say 'don't ask, don't tell', but I'm afraid it's just not that simple. Anyone who thinks it is, isn't really thinking very much at all.

I'm glad you want to serve this Country but I don't think they will take you. But there are other things you could do to help out. You could help out at the red cross or USO.
