(Ignore my name hahaha)

Wow, this is a tough question. I'd either choose Japan or Thailand. People always tell me that Thailand is a truly beautiful place. However, Japan at night is an amazing sight to see with all its city lights. But if you're more of a shopper, go for Japan. They have some exclusive, cheap stuff there that isn't available in the US.

I've visited Thailand and Japan. I think I would like to see Korea because it is so different from the other Asian cultures I've seen.

China, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, in order of preference.
China has such a rich cultural things to see.
Thailand, exotic, nice food, wonderful scenery.
Korea and Japan, they are 'ok', but does not sound exotic at all to me, but might be interesting to see one of the most advanced countries in Asia.
Taiwan, no interest at all.

I've been to all of them

japan: Depends where you go, but generally cold people and while they do party I've never understood their mentality, quit odd to me, and I'll be damned if the women didn't use the ika ika bit straight out of the movies.

south korea: wonderful scenery, but both times I've been I froze my nuts off. Very nice people, and very open.

china: Unfortunately I've only been to big cities, but overall very fun and reasonable people, a little hard to get around outside of the cities for me as most people don't speak english.

taiwan: For a westerner? NEXT

thailand: I can't say enough good things about thailand. It is truly the land of smiles. The people are absolutely THE nicest people I've met anywhere in the world. There is something for everyone there. Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai up north is fastastic for biking and just beautiful scenery. Phuket is a roulette wheel of fun, from the bargirls of Patong(notable mention to christins) to the elitist resorts of bang tao, to the most beautiful sunset you could ever imagine at Nai harn. For super quiet out of the way, Samila beach in Songkhla down south is very pretty and off of the beaten path.

For me personally, it is HANDS down Thailand.

I would love more than anything to visit Japan. I have heard that is is very easy to get lost in Tokyo and to me that is a wonderful concept. I would love to watch TV there and look at their advertisements... since their translations are so terribly off. I also think
it would be fascinating to encounter a culture that is so thoroughly obsessed with America.
