I would say yes, if he is going the extra mile to get a smile on her face, he definitely likes her. He seeks attention from her and it's up to her to allow him to receive the attention or for her to tell him, in a positive way, "Thanks, but no thanks."

He likes her, but maybe not as a girlfriend. I have good guy friends that started off like that. He may just enjoy seeing his friend happy and does it often. They should be friends for a while first and if it goes further, then happy happy joy joy for them.

Yeah He really like her sometimes guy act really silly and playful when they like a girl and if he knows it makes her laugh he enjoys seeing her smile
