These are floaters. They happen to everyone. If you look up into the sky you can see them too. They are dead cells shed by our eyes which are floating around in vitreous fluid or the fluid inside our eyes. By any chance have you recently painted your room a lighter color or moved your bed to a part of your bedroom where you get more light by your bed? This could be why you are more aware of them now. The older we get, the more of them we will notice. The more light we see the more we become aware of them also. But, if you have gotten a recent blow to the head or the eye and these floaters are very numerous or you see sparks you should see an optometrist right away. If you feel uncomfortable with what I have told you see an optometrist anyway! Your eyes are nothing to screw around with. You only get one pair!

they are known as :"floaters". they are sort of like varicose veins in the vitreous humor of the eye. I've had them since middle age.

they drive you crazy if you keep watching them. Blink a few times and they will disperse.
