~No one, but thousands and thousands of folks have said the quote you are attempting to quote. Abe Lincoln stole it from Stephen Douglas, who borrowed it from Millard Filmore, who misquoted John Quincey Adams, who was paraphrasing Ben Franklin as Poor Richard, but ultimately, the English version traces back to James Stewart (the King, not the actor) who mistranslated Plato's discussions of Socrates' maxims. Try Bartlett's once you get the proper quotation - or - with a decent attempt at a search, you might even find something with your incorrect version.
