Instead of paying for Microsoft PowerPoint, you can download the free Office Suite, that includes a presentation product at:

Either you need to pay for the whole package that is around 130 pounds or download a free copy of Open office and can start your slides...
You can goto www.openoffice.org and get started right away.....It is very similiar to Powerpoint and you can also save it in .ppt as well....
