How cute I love Labs

I have the most beautiful, sweet, and loyal yellow lab(mix, but she looks pure lab) and we named her Buttercup. She is going to be seven years old on March 3. She has really lived up to her name. Our neighbors told us a true story about her a few years ago, too. A little girl was coming home from school one day when a stray dog rushed at her and knocked the girl down. My sweet Buttercup raced to the stray dog and knocked the dog back away from the girl. I didn't see it, but several of my neigbors who saw it told me about it. I hope your puppy will be as protective and loyal as my Buttercup is.

She's a BABY and is going to sleep alot. Maybe she needs you to play with her more. They are like children, they have to be taught how to play and communicate with you. Give her plenty of YOU time. As for naming her, that's a very personal thing that only YOU can do. Try out several names, and one of these days you'll come up with one that fits her personality. I had a friend that didn't name her child for 3 weeks, she got to know her and her name FITS her to a tea. Her name is Cierra and she looked like a beautiful indian baby, and now she's a gorgeous girl with a beautiful indian name to match. Good Luck, and get close to your new pup, it will be yours for it's lifetime, and so will her name.

Is there something that sticks out in your mind on her personality, looks wise or markings? Depending on what color lab, you could pick a cute name for the color. Like maybe Goldie if she is a yellow, Ebony if she's a black, or maybe something cute for a chocolate/brown lab. Sorry cant think of anything good for the chocolate.

AWW I love that name, Buttercup! It sounds so darn cute. Labs are literally the most loyal and all around amazing dogs. Good choice!

slumber, because she sleeps all the time.
Or Narca- short for Narcissa which is a -Latinized form of Greek Ναρκισσος (Narkissos), derived from ναρκη (narke) meaning "sleep, numbness". Narkissos was a beautiful youth in Greek mythology who stared at his own reflection for so long that he eventually died and was turned into the narcissus flower.

Aurora was Sleeping Beauty's real name and if she likes to "talk" you can probably get her to say her name.

Goldilocks fell asleep on the three bears beds so Goldi might be good.

have you considered the possibility that she is not sleeping and is actually dead?

I'd take her to a vet before you go through the long drawn out process of naming her, only to find out that she is "no longer with us".

One more question.... Is there a horrible smell in your house?
