i am getting my first chihuahua puppy in a couple weeks. shes brown and so small. what are some good names? im thinking about Ginger but not sure.

Ginger is really cute. There's also Bubbles, Star, Barbie, Daisy, Gracie, Angel, Gigi, Lucy . I have #5 Chihuahuas. My #3 females names are Angel, Lucy and Gigi.

I think you will find Ginger an awkward name. It is two sylables but can not really be shortened to one. We all have a tendacy to shorten a name. Ging .... Gin? Try varienst of names before you settle on one.
We have a dog named Precious. NO way to shorten it. Precious is so awkward to call her all the time.

How about Martini? It's a cute dog name! Someone at my job brought their little dog in one day and it was so well-behaved, and was named Martini.
You could also go with something like Margarita or a cute name like Ginger, as you were thinking of going with. I hope that helps!

i have a 6 month old brown chihuahua and my fiancee named her Gizmo...i know it sounds wierd but it works for her especially when i call her and instead of just saying gizmo i use a high pitch and almost like baby talk say gizzy-moe...she just jumps and gets all excited it is the cutest thing

If you like Ginger then how come you couldnt name her Gingersnap? I bet she'll be as sweet and sassy as a gingersnap cookie!
