OK - I have been contemplating this for awhile now, and I can't make a decision on whether or not to go darker, so here is the deal:

My natural color is a dark blonde. I had my stylist lightening my hair and ended up being a nice light blonde. For the winter, though, I had my hair colored a light orangey/brown color, which is growing on me, but I think I need to go darker. I have hazel eyes (mostly dark, dark green with brown in the middle) and fairly light skin (but not completely milk-white). My eyebrows are not those of a complete blonde, but they are not black.

Because all of my colors are very in-between, it's a hard decision for me, and I was wondering if a medium to dark chocolatey brown color would look OK for my coloring?

i suggest bronze because i suppose it looks nice. but you can try on wigs and see which color fits you most depending on what hairstyle you have. just pick the color in which you think is best and looks best on you.

Most people look best going within two shades of their natural color.
If you're a dark ash blond, I'd think the darkest you could go would be a med walnut brown (med ash brown).
If you're a dark golden blond, then the darkest I think you can go with is a medium chestnut brown (med golden brown).
From what I understand from your self-description, I'd recommend the Chestnut.
Good Luck

I too have hazel eyes and fair skin...my natural color is med brown. To really find what you are comfortable with nextime you go to a mall find a boutique that has the fake hair and hold a color you like up to your fourhead as if it were bangs...this will show you what the color will do for your skin tone, eyes and brows. Also remember if you go too dark your outgrowth will look like a skunk stripe.

Your hair sounds about like mine. My eye's are hazel too. For winter I went with a medium coffee brown. It's very nice. Pick a cool color if you would like it to be a less brassy color.

It is a nice choice because it will make your other features stand out more. Making your eyes more enchanting. And if you really end up not liking it you can always change it in 4 weeks and never do it again!

I think you should try a deep brown. It would be good with your skin tone and eye color.
