Could be tarsal tunnel. Very painfull. Same as carpal tunnel in the wrist, the nerve in the joint of your foot could be pinched. See a podiatrist or neurologist for a nerve conduction study to verify this.

I had about the same symptoms you are describing and it was torn cartilage in my knee. Not sure if its the same but my numbness was shooting up and down the back of my calf. Diagnosed with an MRI. Hope this helps.

I am with tarsal tunnel but it may also be a tumor growing into the nerves
