Microwave making funny noises?

I was cooking some pies just then when my microwave started to make funny blurting noises. All looked o.k, but is my pie safe to eat?

Were your pies in pie tins? The blurt could have been the microwaves arcing to the metallic content in whatever your pie was cooking in. Either that or your magnetron is going bad. No matter what the cause, your pie is safe to eat. Enjoy!
