If you discovered that your baby had superhuman powers or at least super-human cuteness, what would you do?
Would you be bothered if this cute lil freak kept roasting badguys with its laser eyes? Or causing the animals at the zoo to go on a rampage and run towards freedom? etc etc etc!
How would you react if you suddenly knew, just KNEW, that the fruit of your own womb was the future of human life as we are to know it and would be so so much BETTER than the primordial beasts that currently rule civilization?
I would personally give the mighty lil mutant a big mutant hug...

Whoa, more details about this person that you know with a mutant child.
If it happened to me, I'd work on making a cool costume for my kid, and training them about 'truth, justice, etc, etc...'

I figure I'd squander its potential by stuffing my face and asking strangers on the internet about it while it falls in with a bad crowd and becomes a super-villain.

I wouldn't do anything because I wouldn't know it. Evolution doesn't work that quickly and that drastically. Mutation doesn't happen in leaps from one generation to the next. However, I am curious to know what this little peanut's specialty is!!
