where i work they cost 1300, as for food i recomend a pelleted diet like supreem or kaytee exact, suppliment with small amounts of seed, fresh fruits and vegetables (more veggies than fruit) nuts and cooked pasta and rice.

African Grey parrots are very delicate and must follow a balance diet to survive, they certainly find all they need while in the wild, specialized pet shops carry these supplements, I would contact the nearest pet shop and ask them about it..☺
