Well, I'm 50 now and I'm definitely not. Maybe 30 years ago, some girl might have thought so but I didn't. At 25, boy, if I was a girl you'd have called me a ????, well, you know, but it was a very promiscuous time...lol...Being a "lair" like I was, owning hotted up V8 cars and a drinker, well, that was heaven for me...lmfao. And the fact that I was with a couple of bands and doing a bit of solo stuff, pardon the french but I had "them" hanging out of my bum. However, when I was 30, I reckoned I was a pretty "good catch". Owned my own home, own business, had a few bob, was still reasonably good looking without being handsome, was in good shape physically and being single, had a few women (well, more than a few but I'm not bragging) that I kept company with for the lack of using a more sleazy term. I'd just come out of a relationship with a "career junkie" and was footloose and fancy free, as for being God's gift to women, gee, I still don't know. I think I was fairly mature, well, I was probably that way since 15 or so. Now, I had a couple of mates who did think they were God's gift, funny that, I had a much better social life than they did. Gee, can't you tell I'm a writer? Been a Journo for the last 10 years, what you've just got is the condensed version of my life history, the full version will be out on paperback soon, RRP $49.99....pml. But hey, I've lived 3 lifetimes in this body and it's now starting to show. Definitely no great catch these days but I really don't care too much. If I turned up my toes tomorrow, I'd have very few regrets. Anyhow, to get to your question, others, and I assume that would be thousands, probably think that they are, certainly the younger generation who have been brought up as "I AM". In my age group, there was still plenty of chivalry about, well, it seemed that way. Anyway,to finish on, a few jokes about Aussie males as lovers. How long does it take an Aussie bloke to make love? Three and a half hours comprised of 5 minutes doing it, 10 minutes to get to the pub and the next three and a quarter hours bragging about it to all his mates and anyone else who'll listen. And a more sleazy one, How do Aussie men make women come? Who cares? And what does a married Aussie man call foreplay? Taps his wife on the shoulder and asks, are you awake dear? Have a good 'un and I hope you get plenty of answers, Cheers!

No we dont think we are Gods gift to women. We leave that egotistical head space to the puncey Italians and French. The world is only just big enough to accomodate their swollen heads. We just are who we are, tough no nonsense men. Men who are in the main, hard workers and good providers. Men who try to be sensitive to the needs of our wives and girl friends, and would probably be better at it if the ladies also tried to communicate their needs in a clearer, less convoluted fashion.

Generalisations are a useless thing.....Take the generalistion that all Aussie men are beer swilling sports loving slobs. WRONG.........I'll choose a good Shiraz over a beer 90% of the time. I love sport ,but if it was a choice bewteen watching the cricket or the footy or making love...then the bedroom wins everytime!!!!
Now by saying that, does that mean I'm saying that Aussie men have sex on their minds quite a bit of the Time?...........Hey welcome to the MALE of the species.......

No, the real issue here is, that its about time both men and women took a realistic look at themselves and each other, see the similarities and the differences and then celebrate the fact that the universal creator in its wisdom made us the way we are.
It's the DIFFERENCES that make it fun ENJOY them

Its been my experience that Aussie men are just that men, they are no better or worse then the Yanks or the brits, they are however alot better then some other men from other countries our boys may be vain but they are not pigs when it comes to women and what we can or cant wear and what we can and cant do, there are extreme men out there that believe they rule women in every way. Aussie men are just kids with jobs, they like to have fun but know how to at least in some way respect a women. Aussie women have it easier then some other women out there.

Gosh no!! Aussie men are down to earth and are just happy go lucky for the most part. Sure you get some who think they are the ants pants but I find that those who do think they are God's gift to women are usually Australian men who are actually first generation Aussies! Its amazing if you go to a bar or something a true blue Aussie male will have a look at you and offer to buy you a drink and if you say no most will be happy to bugger off but Aussie men who are of foreign parentage tend to think they are somehow better to women in looks and charm than the rest.
And before you say I am being general and racist - i'm not. I am in fact a first generation Aussie myself and see heaps of men of my own culture thinking they are the largest of God's fine girfts

Aussie guys are no different to guys from elsewhere. Some are full of themselves and some are insecure. How funny to think the entire male population of a single country are exactly the same! The generalisation is that Aussie men wear shorts, singlets and thongs, and love sport, beer and themselves. My Aussie man wears muscle tops, long shorts and detests thongs, enjoys a good scotch, playing sport with his foster brother and sisters and loves me unconditionally. The one Aussie guy you had must have been a pig to make you think so badly of the other millions out there!

As an Aussie man, I will honestly answer "No."

Every man and every woman has a common gift: Life.
How each person uses it is up to that person.

Aside from the other rare gifts: musical talent, abstract thinking talents, etc there really is no such thing as a gift from God as a singular person of one gender to the persons of all the other gender. Otherwise lesbians would be greatly dissapointed.

It's just a phrase to put someone down, or a phrase to express hatred possibly verging on misandry.

I dont know the answer to this question, however I did meet a very attractive and cool Aussie man.

He told me that Aussie women, make the men there feel like they are nothing and that the sheilas (chicks) think they are G-d's gift to men.

That being said, that when they come to the states, that may explain why that have a certain behavior towards women.

Aussie men are a reflection of Aussie women.. unfortunately..

Personally though.. I think there are more good men around than good women.. even the butt ugly women now have attitudes.. at least ugly men don't prance knowing they have gold between their legs the way women do these days.. even the ugly ones..

I will always say it.. feminism killed romance and produced a phalynx of gay men.. and sadly.. most of the "better" more sensitive type men, turned gay first.. much to the great loss of females.. now I gotta hear these wingy posts about aussie men..

I think if Aussie women spent more time being decent partners and less time drinking with the girls.. there may be more hope for us all.. but sadly with feminism and freeing of women to the extent we have in Australia.. has resulted in wealthy hetro men becoming total pigs.. as they are now in demand by every money hungry women.. the sensitive men turned gay.. and the rest are now playing the field.. getting blasted for the behavior of the wealthy pigs.. which is not really fair..

I work with a bunch of millionaires who are all over 50.. every week these guys pick up under 25yo girls in cafe's and clubs and have intercourse with them in the car or even alley ways.. it disgusts me.. and yet these are considered the hottest girls around.. why are they so keen to get involved with these rich old men.. who are often fat as well??

There's the REAL problem ladies.. because men don't behave that way!! We have pride and usually a sense of honor..

So if you want better men.. become better women.. and stop sleeping with people for money.. it's ruining the planet..

Hon! I'm of the opinion that next to beer, the female comes second! And your question? 'Do Aussie men think they're God's gift to women? The answer? Do Aussie men think at all? Nah!

I don't think it's only Aussie men who think that way. Most men thinks that they are God's gift to women. But women now knows better than that. Gone are the days where our fellow women is at the mercy of some guys attention and affection. We have own our battle and we have come to stand on firm ground that we can be better even without men.

We have come to know that this world is not all about men and being their wives or loyal partners. We have something to share in the society and most of these women are having their say in the fields where men has been the pillar for so many years. But of course, we are still the longing to share this success with that man who appreciates us.

So, Men in general, is not the only gift to women...but I admit, they are the special ones.
