i hear every now and then that video games causes kids to commit crimes, murder and such! thats B.S,its like guns....guns dont kill people, people kill people, and thats where parenting comes in,you can teach a kid right from wrong and when he sits down to play that violent game,if he was raised right and raised to distinguish right from wrong,he\she shouldnt have a problem going out in public and acting like an ***,just because he\she seen something on that video game, they know better, they just dont care because their parents dont!

I agree. It's the parents' responsibility to raise their kids, not the video game makers. In fact, the video game industry has established an excellent rating system that helps. Kudos is due the game makers.

I actually agree with this completely. I know multiple people who grew up on video games (my hubby and myself being among them) and we're completely fine, neither of us are violent people. I think it's the same for the internet as well. If you've taught your children right then there's really nothing to worry about because they'll comprehend the fact that it isn't safe to meet someone you don't know...or even talk to them online either. Of course I don't support video games of any kind before a certain age and then only the non-violent and educational ones preferably but buying a 12 year old boy a FPS computer or console game isn't going to cause him to kill people if you've instilled any type of sense into him.

So, what's the question? I agree, it's like the old Bugs Bunny cartoons. Kids watched them and you didn't see any of those kids blowing people up or running off a cliff, then saying "I seen that on Bugs Bunny" when asked where did you learn that at......It has everything to do with teaching a kid fantasy from reality.
