A month ago, I bumped into my ex-boyfriend at the university that we both attend. He seemed REALLY happy to see me. He yelled out my name came towards me & seemed REALLY happy to see me. He kept asking all these questions, smiling & looking in my eyes. I acted kinda annoyed and couldn't really look at him. After 5 or 10 minutes,he said he had to go, then he said "give me a shoutout and we can do something", & I just looked at him, and he said "yeah we can see a movie together or anything you want", I just said bye & walked away. He was the one who dumped me, about 8 months ago. We never went past kissing cuz he knew that I wanna save sex for marriage. He hasn't tried to contact me since that day we saw each other.Does this mean that all that happiness and 'lets do something' was fake? I don't wanna seem desperate that's why I won't ask, but how can I get HIM to ask me to 'hang out'???

Guys do you usually say this to exes when you bump into them or did my ex really mean it? I know that if he really wanted to hang out then HE would contact me & that's why I'm leaving it up to him. I want him to want me. WE're both busy with school, but winter break is coming up & I wish that he would ask me to do something then with him but I doubt he will.

Sounds like he was happy to see you however if he dumped you why would you want to repeat the process?

Getting back together with an ex is never a good idea. There was a reason you broke up, and, even if you discuss it and vow to fix that reason, the hurt over comes any positive. I was with my ex for 4 years, then we broke up because he and I had different views on life and marriage and families. We got back together 2 years after the break up for an intense summer fling. I ended up falling in love, but we still had the same issues-wanting committment versus fear of committment. We stopped talking for 6 months and got together as a bootie call. Same thing happened. My advice: stay far away from it. It prevents you from finding the love of your life, which, inevitably happens when you are least tied up by your past.

Why in the world would he want you, sweetie?? You sound like a game player. Your kind are a dime a dozen on this site. Grow up and give these guys a break until you do. Stop all the nonsense.....it wastes everyone's time. You are acting like a girl in junior high....not someone who is in college. You acted like a stuck up b itch when he was being nice. Change your behavior and you may find your relationship to men will change for the better.

First, figure out if you really want him, or just a date, but if you do want to talk to him, reguardless of wether you want a relationship, give him a reason to contact you. It's Christmas, send a simple Christmas card.

Even just something as simple as forwarding email jokes or something like that will let him know he was on your mind at least for a second.

Find a joke/picture on line that screams his name and send it to him with a line like "Ran across this online and thought of you. Figured you'd like it, so I thought I'd share."

Innocent enough to leave it up to him to write back.

Be devious and deceptive and sneaky and all those fabulous girly type things!

He needs to approach you again. Wait three weeks and see if you can't wind up where he is that he notices you again. See if he acts the same way. If he does, then you can tell him it is ok to give you a call. If he doesn't act happy to see you again, then you know it was some sort of stupid thing he was doing.

men are pigs find one that is good to you in every way and keep him for life if he didn't get ahold of you by now then it was fake not real he just wanted to see if you would react by reacting I mean teary eyed short quick answers signs that you really want him back make him think you don't want him and that you have someone better in mind if he really cares you will find out soon enough because he will ask you to hang out

Sorry, but it's fake. Don't get caught up with him. You just gotta roll with the punches, and get back on your feet. Don't worry about him, you're more important.
