Banana Slug Pasta. About 20 years ago, I was a judge for the Slugfest Cookoff in western Sonoma County, California. There were several dishes that featured Banana Slugs. They didn't taste THAT bad; reminded me of liver. But they stuck to my fillings.

I was NOT the one who did this, but it is too funny not to share...My friend's mom had taken all the fat off all the chicken before cooking it and put it in a big bag. After everyone had finished eating, she took all the table scraps off people's plates and put them in the same bag...for the dogs and stray cats. Well, my friend's brother and his friend came home (after smoking a LOT of pot) and had the munchies. Well, they went right for all the nasty fat and table scraps. Ate it all...of course, this does not compare to eating cow intestine or whatever it was!

The annual "Turkey Fry" was really popular in my old town. I was a kid and thought it was normal turkey meat. I was informed later it was a turkey _testicle_ that was fried. No wonder it tasted salty.

The odd thing is, they were good. Better than the coleslaw that came with them.
