Should I feel guilty for wearing colored contacts?

I mean- my contacts are AMAZING! They're so pretty and I love them. I get lots of compliments about them, but they make me feel guilty.

I mean when a guy comes up to me and says "wow I love your eyes", how am I supposed to respond. "thanks" or "umm they're contacts"..

I have really big eyes (part of being Egyptian I guess) and my contacts are a soft, pretty hazel. My natural eye color is brown.

Have you guys even seen that episode on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air when he's with this girl and he's like "I love your green eyes. Wait...what happened to your green eyes" and she's like "they're in a case in my purse" and he's shocked. I would die if that ever happened to me!!!

What do you think about colored contacts? And guys, how do you feel about girls with colored contacts? Would that matter to you?

OMG... I have the same issue. My contacts are also hazel brown but they look so natural and i get compliments everyday. Do not feel guilty, when ppl say they like your eyes just say thank you. No need to go into detail, you bought them, they're yours be happy. Now, if u get into a relationship with someone or are getting close to someone then you can be honest. Other than that... do what i do ... say thank you, smile, and compliment back... your gorgeous... love yourself.

Typically, minorities tend to have the same colored eyes (black or brown), and especially if you come from this kind of ethnic back ground, with an especially different color, it can make an impact. In your case, hazel is not extremely far from brown. Like contacts, guys' preferences differ. Personally, I think blue eyes are very attractive, and if the face is pretty, then the eyes are too. It doesn't matter whether they are contacts or not. But, I can only speak for myself. Everyone varies, and eye color should not be a major factor in a relationship.

That falls under the same thing as the wonder bra, make up and girdles.

Everyone one of these things change your appearance.

there are some ppl who are not very attractive with out make-up. the slap some on, go out, meet a guy, and the next day, they aren't so pretty.

Men have been dealing with it for years.

If one questions you, just tell them you like your eyes that color.

And if a man only likes you for your eyes, hes shallow and not worth it.

I like contacts, but I would not wear them. Its because I am a glasses guy. If you like the colored ones, go for it. But Remember you are you, and dont let anyone tell you how to be a different you. I feel like you do not need contacts to feel better about yourself. You should be like, " Hell yeah my eye color is brown, and Be proud they are brown." Dont get yourself down if they are not a better color. You were meant to have brown and be proud they are brown. who cares if people dont like them. How do I feel about women with colored contacts? i simply say no they're contacts...
i'm not gonna lie...
Contacts don't do anything for you, they simply make you look exotic if your wearing colored ones. Your still beautiful though, adn besides it's personality that matters the most.

i think that if you want to wear them, you shouldn't feel ashamed! i think colored contacts can be a nice way of reinventing yourself, or changing your looks up a little bit, much in the same way as dying your hair or buying new clothes or something. i think that if a guy really likes you, he won't care what color your eyes are!

no of course not. If a guy just goes I love ur eyes like as a compliment, it's fine, go thanks. One of my friends is really really pretty and she has really cool contact lenses (hazel) and she always goes thanks for the compliment but she doesn't make it a secret they're colored contacts.

Although they might attract a guy initially, your personality should keep him around, and he won't care what color your eyes are then. Don't feel guilty - you didn't do anything wrong.

Heck no! You are not fake for wearing what you like! The only way you can stop caring about others opinion is if you truly value your opinion over theirs.
