heres this guy that i like and he keeps staring at me in class and playing feetsies but yet when we leave class he ends up trying to hit me but everybody says he likes my friend and hes really hot smart funny and nice but im shy and weve known each other since kinder and hes in my class again also hes always talking to me

Ask him if he likes anyone. If he likes your friend he's going to tell you in hopes that you can help him get set up. If he likes you he just might reveal it

I think the easiest way is to ask him personally. But you must also mentally be prepared as he may just treat you as a close friend. But I think it is better to ask rather than you regret later
