By far the best and most affordable stethoscope is a Littman. You can get them online or at a nursing uniform store for anywhere from $75 and up. They are the best quality. You do get what you pay for in stethoscopes. This brand should last forever. I am a nurse at a hospital and we have nurses that have had their Littman's for over 10 years!

Littman stethoscopes are the best (in my opinion, anyways). They range in price from $40 to $300 and are of very good quality.

The Littman Select, S.E. Lightweight, and Classic 2 are all very good and priced generally under $100. I have a S.E. Lightweight, and it's actually a very good stethoscope for the money. If you are interested in spending a little more, the Master Cardiology and Cardiology 3 are also fantastic. I've got a Cardiology 3 also, and it's what I use on the ambulance.

Hope this helps!

I currently work as an EMT-P and use the Littman. They are a little pricey and can range from $85 and higher. Another one is the Welch Allen brand. Any from this list will work for him

This may sound strange, but the traditional stethoscope may soon be a thing of the past. They are increasingly becoming linked to electronic devices, so you might want to consider that. However, if you really want to know, ask a local nurse - they will tell you, and might even be able to get you a better price on one.

Littmann . They are priced from $50 to $500. You get what you pay for. I have a friend that has one that cost $75. It gets the job done.

Will you be doing middle quality assessments with your middle price stethoscope?
