I think the reason you are having a problem rationalizing war is because you are a female!! Not that that is a bad thing. On the contrary! Yes, woman are capable of evil deeds, but ...
Since the beginning of human existance it has been the men that have waged war. It has been the men who have done the raping,the robbing,the war mongering,and the subjucating of entire races of people into slavery.
It saddens me the evil that men are capable of. The things they do to women and each other.
In the case of Iraq. I think the president of the U.S.A. lied to the country to further his own agenda. However deplorable Saddam Hussein was as the leader of Iraq. Invading his country had little or nothing to do with 9/11. And we as Americans should open our eyes and see that!! We need to let our representatives hear our outrage! That our president could get on national television and try to justify putting American citizens lives at stake for his families business dealings with the Arabs is treasonous!! Millions upon millions of dollars are being made by the Bush family and their business connections [some of who hold government positions] with the rebuilding and rechanneling of Iraq's natural resources. Educate yourselves people!
The sad thing is that in the beginning of the war anyone who voiced an opinion against Bush was considered to be unpatriotic and a traitor to the Service men and women of this country! Of course nothing could be further from the truth. The service people have orders to follow. They depend on their superiors who depend on their superiors until ultimately you reach the top... Commander in Chief to make educated correct decisions.
Where is Osama Bin Laden president Bush? When this all began and he credited himself with training the bastards who hijacked those planes. Why didn't we stay the course pursuing justice for our fallen Americans at the hand of the man who glorifies himself as the ultimate threat to Americans? If military action was the only answer, why did you stop in Afghanistan before he was apprehended and made to answer for his crimes?
To answer your question. I don't think our service people are serial killers. I think they are mostly men and women who are willing to risk their lives to let you enjoy yours!!! They just need a better leader who appreciates the power his office holds on behalf of the American people.

What the HELL is your major malfunction? Maybe you were not watching TV the morning of sep. 11 but i was, it is painfully clear who the serial killers are. Those terrorists who are heartless enough to fly a planes full of people into the side of buildings full of people. The feeling i got watching that was like someone had just punched me in the stomach. I could not believe there were people that were that heartless that could kill several thousand people all at once. they are the true serial killers. I am sorry there are people in the nation i serve that are like you, that are so ungrateful for the freedoms they enjoy. Those freedoms only come for a price, consider this!!!

Even if you are against the war in Iraq (which I am) or the war in Afganistan (which I'm not) don't go calling our troops serial killers. Serial killers kill for the thrill. Soldiers kill in war; that's there job. There is a big difference there. I bet you you would be one of those people hiding in a hole someplace if it comes down to the US being invaded while the people you are calling serial killers are out there protecting your ever so privilaged life.

YOU MAKE ME SICK!!!!! How dare you sit on your lazy over privilege butt and say that. They are not serial killers, but as much as I hate to say it because of our troops you have the right to say that you should be very grateful you live here and not over there in the middle east you would be killed for say this about your country. You need to grow up, my husband is in the Airforce and because of men and women like him to have that freedom to be wrong with out fearing for your life. What a shame that you are waisting your life with being stupid.

You are so F***ing stupid. I wish people like you would get a clue or life...which ever one you come across first. They didn't ask to go to war just like you didn't ask to be stupid. They are not serial killers, they fight for our freedom. They may or may not believe in this war but it's their duty. When they took that oath that became their life and they don't need stupid a** people like you peeing in their corn flakes just because you don't have anything better to do!!!

Wow. Get a clue. You have the right to your opinion but seriously, is that question really necessary? There are troops dying everyday because of people who are true "killers". Go talk to the mothers and wives and children of those who have died. I dare you to ask any one of them that question.

serial killers don't get shot at by their victims. i am totally against the war, totally, but i don't blame the soldiers we sent there--they are also victims, not serial killers. that's so unfair to say.
