I guess you have to find a really true friend and confidant that you can both share moments with. Speaking with a friend is really helpful but if you can't get help back what is that.
It seems like the friends you have are working all one sided.
When can you get a moment to speak up.
Ask them why their problems are so much more important than yours. Why is it they can't listen to you too.
Everyone needs someone to listen.

ummm...I think I found a question in there, though it's a little confusing. Most of the time, we have the solutions to our problems within ourselves and just need to talk through it. The people who give the best advice usually just listen. It's not wise to try to solve a person's problems for them. Just be a good listener. Sometimes it helps to ask questions to help the person consider all sides of an issue but it's best if people come to their own conclusions. If you can't find anyone willing to listen when you need to talk, get yourself a notebook or journal and start writing. Go back and read your entries often. You may be surprised at the wisdom you can find within yourself.

dear friend,
first of all u have to be clear about whether or not u WANT to help
others.
the fact that people approach you for help cud mean 2 things. (1). either that u do have some counselling abilities or (2). that u are a good listener.
first verify which one of these is it if its the latter u dont have to worry for just giving someone a patient hearing can help immensely. if its the former,. then u shud make it clear to ur friends that u 2 sail in practically the same boat as them and sometimes u may not be able to be of much help.
good luck.

you have to be careful who you spend your time with
some people you meet, should remain people you meet and not friends. the best friend is one that is not involved in your day to day activities. They listen and understand your needs also. You should have some things in common and be willing to be a good listener when required. Being a friend does not mean being a door mat. Good riddens. begin a new by being to busy to be used by the same old story
you deserve better
when you know better you do better
get started

Sit down with them and talk about it. They may or may not be understanding to how you are feeling right now; you may have to judge the value of your friendships based on their reaction. In either case, next time, when they approach you, you may want to say something to the effect of "Hey, I'm sorry, but right now, there are some issues that I need to deal with myself. Could you give me some time to do that?" and walk away.

Good luck!

You should help your friends because it's the right thing to do, not because they might help you later. Everyone has different needs. If your friends can't meet your needs, God can send someone else to do it. Just be a good person.

some people are just a magnet for problem solving this leaves other people to believe they have no need for help. Stop having all the answers and maybe you can actually get help yourself. but if you really think they were your friends maybe yo need to rethink.

That's what Yahoo Answers is for!! Ask whatever you need to know and you can use fake names if you are uncomfortable with it.
