ok so i bought an xbox 360 of ebay and it was made on 11-23-2005 and this thing is loud you can hear the fans..... and it already froze up after 3 hours of play and the system gets hot ...... is this one of the defective systems that was produced by microsoft?? also if it is will they fix it ???

Your Xbox 360 was made the day after its release date, and it is probably a faulty one. I've heard of how the early systems overheat, but i'm not sure if that is covered by the one-year warranty it comes with. Go to microsoft.com and check. If you can't get it fixed, then look for a fan that you can attach to the bottom, it's a fan/stand.

I think you can send the Xbox back to Microsoft and they will pay the repair cost. But u pay to send it to them. also if your xbox keeps freezing its a definite sign to send it back. they said all 360's that were made in 2005 will be covered in repair only. call 1-800-4-my-xbox just to be doubly sure.

Yes, it is in the window of the machines that tended to have more problems. We had one, and had to return it to the point of purchase to get a new one. Now we have a cooling base thing that it sits on, you have to remember to turn it on, but it works really well to help keep the heat down.
I don't know if we really need that, but it sounds like you need something, either to cool it or a new machine.
