Well, I would guess that you do menial work. Recruiters are smart, they look for people still in school or people in dead end jobs or no job at all. I would have to believe that a good place to look is at an unemployment office!

Seriously? I hope you are all kidding!

My brother is an engineering student in the Honors College of a great university and receives thousands each semester in academic scholarships. He is at the top of his class and is nearly fluent in German. He is planning to become an officer in the Marine Corps at the end of his degree. He is very, very intelligent.

Please learn some basic grammar and spelling. You should know how to form a coherent sentence before you go poking fun of people who choose to a particular career path. Such over generalizations are purely ignorant. What a disgrace! You should be ashamed of yourselves.

They recruiters visit schools, job fairs, etc and advertise a lot on tv, mags, etc

no reason to go into some military bashing rant like the rest to answer someone's question.

Just like how the recruiter met you..my hubby used to go to stores and all over the place passing out info and talking to people (he did it just to help out). The military needs alot more men to sign up.

They do exactly that, go to high schools, ask around, go to stores and find the teenager with no future... etc.. Then typically the ones who want to join know others who were thinking about it too, and get referred to the recruiter. There's a whole **** load of ways. And don't forget the ones that already made up there mind and joined without the recruiter.

Are you a strong young guy but look a little hopeless? Then run before they catch up with you again, and remember, next time you are hanging about, it pays to look a little more purposeful
