DO NOT USE SUPER GLUE OR CRAZY GLUE OR WHATEVER ELSE PEOPLE ARE SUGGESTING! I had a patient krazy glue his crown back on instead of coming to the dentist and he ended up in MAJOR pain, he was a grown man in tears! It ended up getting an abcess and was VERY infected and we had to end up extracting the tooth. There is a product sold in pharmacies to temporarily hold the crown on but please visit a dentist ASAP, this is your tooth and I'm sure you would like to keep it.

O.K. At some point you have to see a dentist, your tooth and nerve are exposed and sure to decay and be pretty painful. I have done this when my crown has fallen out and it would be several days until I could get in. Buy denture adhesive and put it on the inside of the crown then stick it back on. Press hard for 20 seconds and it should stay through eating, drinking etc.

DO NOT GLUE IT BACK ON W/ SUPREGLUE!!!
You shouldn't glue it back on yourself at all.
There will still be a live tooth under that cap and you don't want to trap harmful bacteria that will cause you to loose it!
When was your cap put on?
If it wasn't too long ago, the dentist may not charge you to glue it back down. Call and ask how much.
It shouldn't be very expensive at all.
You can go a week or so w/out the cap, but get in soon. You don't want the tooth to shift at all, either.
Hope this helps!
Happy Holidays!

I have heard from more than one person that when this happened to them that they were able to glue it back in with Super Glue until they could afford to go to the dentist. However, please be careful! Super Glue may be toxic or have toxic fumes, and this is something that you are putting into your mouth and chewing with.

One of my coworkers said they found an adhesive at Walgreens that was re-gluing crowns back in. He used it two weeks ago and still it is holding. Ask the pharmacy.

Super Glue or another clear epoxy

epoxy. super glue is too rigid. you need epoxy. mix the 2 parts of the epoxy and let them set. get the clear variety. put it on the tooth and set it in there. in few minutes you are good to go.
