i measured the fat using an electronic scanner thing on my scales that measures BODY FAT, not bmi. and i know it does it with a scanner because it won't work if you have soes on.

You are tightening up everything at this time. Fat loss is VERY slow and comes over time. Gravity makes everything stretch down, exercise pulls everything back up again.

Hey,

Do not be alarmed with the weight gain. If you said that you have been exercising and properly been eating better, and drinking tons of water, you are doing well.

The thing about weight scale is that it does not know how much is water, muscles, fat, skeleton, organs, etc.

Do not be afraid if you gain weight because you probably just gain some muscles (muscle is heavier than fat). More muscle means your body can hold more water as well. By adding more muscle, you have boosted your metabolism and you will be able to burn more calories through out the day.

It is normally to gain some weight when working out as long as your clothes actually fit better. It just means that you are getting more muscles which will help you lose weight even more.

I hope that makes sense.

Bottom line, you are doing well. Measure your progress by how well your clothes fit and not what the scale tells you.

working out isn't going to cause you to gain fat, the way the scale works that you using ( I have one that works the same way) is that it sends an electrical currant through your body and electricity measures how much water & how much fat you have. However it doesn't account much for your muscle, so you have probably not gained or lost much either way. Yes muscle weighs more then fat but to gain one pound of muscle in one week, you'd practically have to be an olympian in peak of training. It's pretty rare. the scale is not full proof, it's much better at telling you your hydration then body fat.

duh, way to go, you're gaining muscle, losing fat, and the water is great too---I actually weigh 10 pounds more than two years ago, but look so much better/firmer, i run an average of four miles a day plus do med. to heavy weight training 5 days a week, and wear a size 5 and have a "girl" 6-pack, although i weigh more than ever it's in "the right places".

back to you, lol, good for you, make sure you're eating right and not reducing too low, forget about the numbers for awhile and look in the mirror///take pics too, seeing is believing.

Are you sure you actually gained fat?? How did u measure your body fat?? If your clothes fit better, you are most likely losing fat. Get a "body composition profile" then get it redone every 6 weeks, to chart your progress. Make sure you're eating enough protein.

Working out makes you lots of water (reduces your weight), converts from fats to muscles (weighs heavier), removes unwanted fats and development (loses and gains) but yeah mainly you lose.

2 reasons you think you are gaining fat. 1...sit ups dont burn fat they make the muscles in your abdominals grow so your stomach sticks out a little further. 2...by reducing the amount of food you eat, your body's metabolism is slowing because, it is used to having a certain amount of calories in it. Dont reduce the amount of food you eat. In fact you need to eat more times, just smaller portions. 5-6 times a day. keep the portions smaller than your fist. example 1 apple and 1tbs of peanut butter is 1 meal. 1 chicken breast and 1cup brown rice is 1 meal. I hope this helps...stay strong.

how do you know you have gained fat? if you are goign by weight, muscle weighs alot more than fat, so weight isn;t a way of measuring fatness. if you clothes are fitting better, you have most likely toned your muscles (hence then gaining weight) and losing the flabby fat that makes clothes fit weird.

Gaining fat from working out is impossible. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are truly eating less calories on top of buring more of them during exercise, then you have obviously gained muscle and lost fat.

Muscle weighs greater then fat so in the experience that your basing it on your weight then do no longer hardship. you would be able to sense your transforming into to be fatter yet your probable no longer, the reason being probable because of the fact your self obsessed and you seem to look fatter to your self collectively as different peoples perceptions of you're distinctive.

If you're talking about your weight, you might have gained muscle. Since muscle weighs more then fat. Or you could just not be exercising correctly.
