If in fact you were with the ACLU, you would know that as Christians we have the right to the freedom of speech and greeting a passerby with "Merry Christmas" is completely and totally within our rights.

So you lied about working for the ACLU. What else did you lie about? Oh the 1000 complaints is a lie too isn't it.

We do not believe anything you have to say as you've proven yourself a liar.

I wonder...are you a citizen of the United States of America? If so, then you should thank God for the freedom you have to express your views. It can not be disputed by anyone with half a brain that this nation is in existence because a group of people were tired of being told how to worship and decided to risk everything to colonize "the new world." Frankly, I am offended at your offense! Christmas is a Christian Holiday. Holiday is a word that comes from putting together two other words - Holy + Day. Holiness is an attribute, usually credited to a diety. In the case of the Christmas Holiday, it is the God worshipped by the men and women who came here to colonize this land, and the God worshipped by the majority of the founding fathers, and the majority of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. The ACLU is a misnomer. They seek not freedom of religion, but freedom from religion. They want situational ethics. Whatever is right for the individual at the time, is right. Whatever the individual believes to be true is his or her truth and none dare dispute it. I wonder...do you have a "Holiday Tree" in your home? Will you exchange gifts on Christmas morning? Do you know why? The United States of America was founded as a Christian nation. A quick perusal of our founding documents will affirm this. And, the Lord willing, we will remain a Christian nation. Unlike many nations of the world who would sooner kill or jail "enemies of the state," any who don't like it are free to leave!

ENTER THE “WHY I HATE CHRISTMAS” CONTEST

Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League, and Don Feder, president of Jews Against Anti-Christian Defamation, have launched a “Why I Hate Christmas” contest today. Donohue explains as follows:

“On December 6, a Zogby Poll disclosed that 95 percent of Americans are not offended by being greeted with a ‘Merry Christmas’ while shopping. Don Feder and I would like to know more about the 5 percent who object and have thus launched our ‘Why I Hate Christmas’ contest. Contestants must answer the following questions:

1) Explain relationship with father

2) Explain relationship with mother

3) State what religion, if any, were you raised in

4) List all phobias, e.g., fear of God

5) List all superstitions, e.g., belief in global warming

6) State which historical figure is most like you:
(a) Hitler
(b) Stalin
(c) Mao
(d) Pol Pot
(e) Rosie O’Donnell

7) State last time you hallucinated

8) State last book you read before crashing

9) State how many times you’ve laughed in the past 10 years:

(a) once
(b) more than once but not more than thrice
(c) more than thrice but not more than five times
(d) can’t recall

10) List all prior mental disorders

“Please send us a photo so we can post your picture on our website, along with your response. The winner will receive a free copy of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. Finally, we will send your statement to Jackie Mason for a free psychological evaluation.”

I say Merry Christmas because that is the holiday I celebrate. If you celebrate Winter Solstice, then go ahead and say Happy Winter Solstice. But don't try to stop me from saying Merry Christmas.

God Bless,
Jesus loves you.

Are you Muslim ?? Happy winter solstice--- What does that mean ? How do we know who is non-Christian and who is Christian. Your living in America now and you had better accept what America stands for. Your not gonna get away with your control freak as-s here in America. If you work for the ACLU that is an interesting clue. Chill out !!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Christmas is not a religous term, Christmas is not a religion....you are misinformed as usual.
In your vast ignorance you and others of your ilk have ascribed to Christmas, meanings it dosen't have and you are upset by use of the word. How enlightened you are!
Merry Christmas !!!!!

P.S. if you really work for the ACLU......what about freedom of speech? We are free to use any phrase we like!

Are you joking? I don't understand how someone can be offended by Christmas. that would be like me being offended by Hanukkah. If someone is on meds because of a cheerful greeting, then their problems stem from something far worse than dealing with Christmas spirit. And what does fascism have to do with it?

We say that so as to express our wishes that you have a nice December 25th.

Can I wish you "Happy Mother's Day" if you are not a mother?
Sure, it just means that I hope you have a happy day on Mother's Day.

You don't have to be a Christian to have someone wish you a merry day.

Coming up is Hanukkah. I hope all eight days of Hanukkah are happy for you.
Happy Hanukkah!
(Oh, and have a Merry Christmas too!)
