I really want to send my girlfriend flowers at work, but she works at a restaurant (a sit down place like applebee's or chilli's) and I didnt know if it would be strange to send them to a restaurant or not....

Has anyone that has ever worked at a restaurant recieved flowers there? Was it awkward or sweet??? Thanks for your opinions...

Yeah i think that it will make her so happy. I work at a restaurant where it is a sitdown kind of restaurant too. I work as a hostess though, and i don't know if she is a hostess too, or a waiter, or even a bartender, but either way it would be so adorable. If she works with other people, they will all ask her about it and she can say that her wonderful boyfriend sent it to her. ^_^

I say do it.

Hey! I've had them left on my car but not actually sent to my job. I work in a restaurant and we have had flowers sent in before like for my boss and stuff and everyone is totally fine with it. It is really sweet and she can keep them in the back fridge or something until she gets off work! She'll be suprised in a good way and think it is so sweet!! :)

Most women would love to get flowers at work from their boyfriends. Not only does it show how much you care for her, but it makes her the envy of the whole workplace. Yes, a selfish reason, but valid nonetheless. If you are that concerned about sending flowers at work, surprise her after her shift is over by putting a bouquet on the passenger seat of her car for her to find with a romantic message. Of, when she gets off work, wait by her car with the flowers in your hand.

Be careful to know when to send them. I know a person who was sent flowers at her place of employment and another waitress thought they were for her. The gal they were intended for never received them! Chillis is a busy place!

Send them. It doesn't matter where she works {however Ive never worked any blue collar jobs} she'll be flattered regardless. However the restaurant may have a policy against things like receiving flowers/gifts at work. You should check with them. I worked as a clinical psychologist for many years and our policy was we could not receive personal gifts at work

If you send flowers and noone sees them, did you really send them? Send them to her work, she can gloat and rub it in to her co-workers who got NONE. Somehow, this pleases them.
