Myself, I think ignorance requires a belief with a refusal to investiagte its authenticity. I think faith uses an open mind (or at least somewhat), while ignorance requires a closed one.

Faith is trusting in something you do not know...ignorance is not knowing.

Faith is believing in what is unseen.

Ignorance is going against truth.

Truth has nothing to do with what you believe. Believing something doesn't make it true. If I were to jump off a very tall building and say that I don't believe in gravity there would be an expected outcome regardless of my belief. That would be ignorance.

I agree with you. Faith is a state of trust, strength, and courage, with hope all around. Ignorance is satisfaction with false belief and no courage to challenge it, a state of weakness or dullness.

Faith is when you have read the scriptures and found that your heart reasonated with the truth found within them. Ignorance is when either:
A) you never actually read the word but blindly believe what someone told you it contained or
B) you read the word, but instead of seeing the truth within you studiously ignored it.

Faith often requires not only ignorance, but WILLFUL ignorance.

Just look at what believers post here about evolution. It is shamefully ignorant, yet posted with PRIDE.

So I think you should toss in stupidity as well.

hmmmm faith there's a funny word, to most people it conjures up a picture of good church going folk who believe completely in their chosen religion, but you dont have to be christian to have faith, after all the principle of faith, is to have complete conviction in the truth of your principles, so for example even true atheists have faith in their belief that god does not exist, as to ignorance the best example of this is to be close minded to other peoples beliefs, to be intolerant of their strongly held faith. be they christian, muslim, jewish, agnostic or atheist, if you do not respect their rights to hold their beliefs or faith then that to me is ignorance.

Faith is belief in something
Ignorance is blind faith. Belief without evidence.

Faith is believing something to be true, without having evidence for it. It is belief becaue you wish something true (or fear it true).

Ignorance is just not having the information.

So, faith is belief in something you're ignorant about.

Ignorance is not knowing something.

Faith is not knowing something, making up any old crazy theory to fill the knowledge gap, then getting angry when somebody questions them.
