Keep a food journal. Get an account at http://www.fitday.com. Log in everything you eat each day. You can generate reports to see if you burn more calories than you eat or vice versa. If you see that you've been eating more calories than you burn recently, just eat slightly less calories for a few days and it'll even out.
It's all about calories in versus calories out and it can be hard to determine without a food journal. Even if you only eat healthy foods, it's possible to still gain weight if you eat too many calories.

You need to have healthy eating habits, not just go on diets. Lots of fruits and vegetables are good, and try to limit your sugar. A good way to cut back on sugar is to stop drinking pop or drink less of it.
Regular exercise is also important. Try walking every day or at least a few days a week.

I don't skip any meals and make sure I don't eat fattening foods all the time. I mean, I do eat pizza, chips, and popcorn...but not every day! I also participate in sports. I used to do gymnastics. Now I'm involved in basketball. I wear a size three and am perfectly content.

Good diet,exercise.Stay active.
Every body is a machine with specific requirements
for each.I liken it to a precision automobile.
If you use bad gas and oil,you will have problems.
Stay away from smoking and cocaine.People will try to
tell you it works,it doesn't.It only screws up your metabolism even more.
Make time for real sleep also and drink water frequently.

Just make sure you're not eating more calories than you burn each day. That's pretty much all there is to it. Make healthy food choices, exercise for 1/2 an hour every day....yeah.
