I'm seventeen, so I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to be happening just yet.

I see a chiropractor about once a month, I was very out of allignment but I'm alright now. It doesn't hurt at all, it's just really annoying when I'm in a quite room and I want to move my knees or elbows.

Joints popping does not necessarily signal arthritis, back problems, or a lack of calcium in your diet, just a problem with the fluid in your joints. My knees have always cracked like crazy since I was in preschool, but I drink plenty of milk, they're as strong as ever, and the only spinal problems I have deal with being lazy and slouching.

I can never remember the exact reason for joints popping, but it deals with there not being enough fluid to cushion them. Eventually, it will take a toll on your joints, but there usually isn't immediate danger and I don't know of much you can do besides surgery later in life if it's needed.

EDIT: If it's not painful like you said in your edit, then I'd say you just have the same problem I do. And I know exactly what you mean about being in a quiet room and not wanting to move because you know a joint will pop. I used to take dance (still dance, but not with a studio) and that was so embarrassing for me when that would happen. Personally, though, I've just learned to go with it and laugh every time it happens and my friends give me that awed-yet-disgusted look so reminiscent of kindergarten. XD

Hello and I am sorry to hear this is happening to you...
It is painful and sore..
I actually was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis when I was 7..
I have the same sensations now really badly..
I would go to a doctor and get an opinion..
There are lots of natural remedies that cushion the joints.
But this happening at such a young age, well it should be checked out...

No and no. We do not micro manage on a tax level for anyone. Why would you single out strippers? We don't have a IRS office in every branch of a corporation for every business expense and AR windfall so why would we do thia for a stripper? I can drink a Pepsi when the Coke is flat. People that can't and just have to drink the flat Coke kind of scare me.

Get some calcium, pronto. Also, you could see a doc just to make sure its not arthritis like the other person said. I doubt it, but you wanna be sure.

It could just be another growth spurt. You can still grow a lot taller when you are 17. If you feel that it is painful, like arthritis, then talk to your doctor, but it sounds like growing pains to me.
