Depending on where the wart is and how many you have, you may not need to do anything. Often a wart will disappear on its own. It is called spontaneous remission.

Various treatments can be used for warts, but generally removal by freezing is the best way. Your doctor can usually do it in his office.

I have no idea how to get rid of warts. I developed one on my thumb when I was 7, and when I was 9 they seemed to spread to a couple other fingers. No matter what was done, they never went away. Then when I was 12 they just disappeared and I've never had warts again (I'm 16).

The only thing that's helped me was getting it burned off. It hurt, don't let them tell you otherwise, but it's the only thing that has worked. Although, your wart is new so a walgreens (or whatever drugstore you feel like) wart-freezing thing may work. The best way to keep them off forever though, in my experience, is going to the dermatologist and getting it burned or frozen off.

i had one on my foot i tried the wart remover products and they did nothing. I started using tea treel oil and applying duck tape on a daily basis and after a week or so the wart was totally gone.

There are lots of over the counter remedies, but someone just told me that they covered theirs with duct tape, kept it on for a week, and the wart went away!
