spent 5 days on a zpac; then was reseen a given 10 script for augmentin--taken bid. It's been in my system since thursday and am noticiing blotchy skin ratshes.

sounds like a typical 'cillin allergy. Inform your doctor right away. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) helps with the itching & the reaction.

It may be the augmentin. My husband was given augmentin for a bad sinus/throat infection and he got really sick from taking it. He would get queasy, nauseous and eventually vomit. He did not have a skin reaction, just very upset stomach. He said the sinus infection was better than the reaction he was having with the agumentin. The augmentin is pencillin with an additional substance added to it (don't know what it is) and it was the additional substance that he had the problem with. Hope you are feeling better real soon.

Probably, happened to my daughter. Take some benadryl and call your doc for a different prescription.
