Christians, please remember to spread love and mercy here and everywhere. I have noticed that we have a strong representation here on our little Yahoo Answers site. And many of you have done fine jobs of explaining the Gospel. Keep it up. Remember, others are not "wrong," they just don't know what is right yet.

It is good to know that the Gospel, the Good News, has a presence on the web! A note to those who see Christians, like myself, as uneducated or ignorant: ;-) I love you, and Jesus loves you. I know this and a lot more. I don't pretend to know everything about God, but everything I NEED is contained in the scriptures. Oh, and if Christianity is the "opium of the masses," then it is opium with all benefits and no downside. No letdown. No regret.

I do because I accepted the Lord as my savior and into my heart

The Lord, the One God, is the All-Alone Lord, as it is written in Torah (the Law of Moses). The Lord should be positively trusted, in respect of every problem. One should beseech, only before the Lord for his salvation as the Day of Resurrection is the Lord’s Day alone. The horror of that very Day, is so overwhelming that everyone will be extremely worried for his own salvation alone.
God belongs to all people and no one is special in God’s sight. God loves those who love God.
Love of the people is to obey God’s laws and God’s love is seen in God’s blessings.

“God will bless everyone who honours God, the great and the small alike”.
(Psalms 115:13)

GOD BELONGS TO ALL NATIONS

“Lo! Those who believe and those who are Jews, and Sabaeans and Christians; whosoever believes in (One Alone) God and the day of Judgement and does right___ there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve.”
(Quran Chapter 5:69)

GOOD NEWS

“Lo! God pardons not that partners should be ascribed unto God. God pardons all save that to whom God wills. Whoso ascribed partners unto God, has wandered far astray”.
(Quran Chapter 4:116)
Beware please! Salvation is meant for these people alone:

1. Who worship the Lord alone, positively, believing that nothing is like the Lord and the Lord is the UNSEEN.

2. Who do not call the men, the jinn, the gods/goddesses, the demigods, the idols or anything else beside the Lord. Nor they praise or honour any of them.

3. Who desist from the bad deeds and persist on the good deeds in terms of the Commandments of the Lord.

4. Who do believe in the Day of Judgement/ Hereafter and the eternal reward/retribution, according to the nature of deeds.

Whosoever acts upon this four-dimensional theory or the Monotheistic manifesto, in the light of the Scriptures___ he is, pre-eminently, free from every danger of the Day of the Judgement.

See what you get for being encouraging? Answers from people who you aren't even talking to. Hateful ones at that. (can all you non believers sift through some of the other questions? We're trying to talk about you!)
Anyway, thank you. Stay faithful in preaching the word.
And let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Who knows?

Those who are "in Christ" and have the assurance of the Scripture (God's Word) that when we are absent from the body we will be present with the Lord. Where is the Lord? In Heaven.

I know that I am going to heaven, because there are 2 ways to live and I have chosen God's Way through Jesus Christ.

My sister also chose God's Way through Jesus Christ and I saw her die of leukemia. She had been unconscious for three days. She sat up put her arms forward and then fell back and died.

The doctor said that it was the most peaceful leukemia death that he had ever heard of because the patients usually cough up blood but she did not.

I think that she was reaching out to Jesus Christ or one of God's holy angels.

I know without a doubt that I am going to go to Heaven because I have placed my faith in the finished work of the Cross. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. He arose that you and I could have eternal life in Heaven.

Yet others, still, are truly and genuinely wrong.

Remember, there IS such a thing as sin. There IS right and wrong.

I love Jesus and will reasonably take it personally if someone insults him.

No one knows if they are going to get through the pearly gates. We hope and pray and try to live right but we are all human and err from time to time. It is a sin to presume that you or a loved one will go directly to Heaven after death. Most souls go to purgartory. "Nothing uncleansed will enter the Kingdom of God". If one's soul is pure at time of death, they will enter Heaven right away. Otherwise we go to purgatory to be cleansed. The time spent in purgatory depends on the amount of stain that is on our soul. One soul could be in purgatory for 5 minutes and another for 5 years and another for 5000 yrs. Only God knows and we will later on.

Christians here have done a terrible job respresenting the "love" they supposedly espouse. They have largely also represented themselves as willfully ignornant and full of disdain for science (even though they use a computer to bash science!).

If you think that's "goodness", we differ in the definition of the word.

the concept of going to heaven has been translated and complicated over the years. You can be sure of your salvation. If you have faith in Jesus Christ, know he is the missiah, saviour of the world, and will come again, and try to live life in his footsteps, you can know you are going to heaven. God guarantees our entrance into heaven in hte bible for believers.
