why men cut their hair,while women grow it long.any scientific reason?

Biologically, women who have long hair are more attractive because long hair is a sign of health (Unfortunate for us short-haired women). Same goes for big breasts and white teeth. Health = beauty.

I guess it's just the style. It's like why do we wear blue jeans? Why do women wear makeup but not men?
There probably is some scientific reasoning. Maybe it's because men used work and they couldn't have their hair getting in the way. Women used to stay at home so they could have long hair. Just a theory.

Several hundred years ago, it was very stylish for upper class
men to have long hair and dressed as elegantly as the women.
Many soldiers, hunters, farmers etc. kept their hair shorter to
keep the dirt and insects out of it...
Women were usually inside more and their hair was less exposed to the dirt and elements...
