If you need someone to tell you WHERE to put it, then maybe you shouldn't really be getting one... hmm?

And it's TATTOO.

asking how much a tattoo would be without knowing exactly what it is you want is like going to a car dealership and asking only about the general price for any sort of truck - the question is way too vague. It also depends on things like size, color, detail, place on the body, particular mood of the artist, etc. Ask around, go to different tattoo parlors and make sure to give the artists a detailed idea of what you want. Also, don't make price your soul decision in where to get it done. If you really want it you'll save the money, and the important thing is the art itself because you're going to have to live with it for the rest of your life.

Shop around and do some research. Take the art with you if you have it and visit shops and talk to the artists, look at their portfolio and... this may sound crazy but watch their hands. If they shake go some where else, it seems like a lot of them in the southwestern US have a crank problem.

Really talk to them and kinda get to know them... as well as you can in 15 to 20 mins, most of them are willing to talk and show off their stuff for that long if not longer if they aren't too busy.

Also ask about price, pay for a good artist because it will be there forever.

Depends on where you go... I went to a place in Fremont, Ca called Tattoo U and they were going to charge $125 for two tiny fairies and a music note on my ankle, I decided to wait on it. When I went to Kissimmee, Florida I got a full color hibiscus on my ankle (the same place and a bigger tattoo) for $80. Do your research, if you see someone with a tattoo ask them where they got it done and by whom, that is the big question. I had a tattoo done in Hayward, Ca because my sister had a beautiful one done there... Anyways, I didn't use the same guy and when I had my dolphin tattooed I took care of it the way I was told and it still looked like crap, in fact my Grams asked why I had an airplane tattooed on my shoulder. Check some sites and ask for references... Good luck with yours!

First thing to remember - you get what you pay for. I had a dear friend who was a tattoo artist ( he passed away in a car accident) who used to say, "If you have to ask how much, you can't afford it."
If this is something you really want to do, find a reputable tattoo artist, don't go discount. If you can't afford to do this tattoo all at once, you can do it in different sittings. It doesn't have to be done all at once.
Good luck with your tattoo.

Go to a reputable tattooist. And really really consider this before you do it. It can be lasered off, but it will never ever be completely gone. You know the old saying here today but gone tomorrow, well I just hope you don't regret it. Good luck!

go to a tattoo shop. talk to the artist and ask to see their actual work make sure they are good. i have a tattoo that is color and cost $180.00 then i also have one that cost $1,800.00. its what you want where you want it and how good the artist is that's how the price comes in. make sure needles are new and in air lock package. are you 18? you should wait till then.

I would get it at a tattoo shop...

if it is a crappy artist, it shouldn't cost much.

depends on where you live...how much detail...how good the artist is. It's forever so don't skimp...and go "discount".
