How far back does witchcraft in the Welsh country go? I'm doing ancestral research.

There were non-Christian groups in Wales, for centuries before the Romans and Anglo-Saxons invaded. They were the Celts. They are certainly Pagans, and I believe they are considered to practice 'witchcraft'.
