I am reading a facsinating book about the Christian Science religion. The book is called "God's Perfect Child," by Caroline Fraser. She said the movement peaked in the 50's at around 200,000. Now I can't find any demographic numbers on them anywhere. I find that interesting that an organization so small should have so much visibility. They have a fourteen acre complex in downtown Boston.

I'm told the Church of Christ, Scientist has consistently refused to give out membership numbers. The World Almanac and Book of Facts (2007) gives 862,000 (US only), a number it obtained from the World Christian Database. It also lists 2250 churches.

They had to cancel the annual parade of Christian Scientists this year because one was sick and the other one refused to march alone. Oh wait, you mean the cult, one is too many.
