I always feel like doing some running or crunches, but especially crunches, I always think that the food I just ate will stay in my stomach since I'm laying down on the ground...So thank might have sounded stupid (!), but any input is appreciated, thanks!

30 min but if you're not comfortable with that, wait a little longer. When I do crunches, the food never gets to me. It's the water or liquid I consumed before hand.

45 mins to an hour. If you train after eating you can get sick and it also is kind of pointless. You train to have you blood pumping through your body and into your muscles. When your body is digesting the blood is focused on the task at hand, you stomach, and there is limited supply going to your muscles. So for best results wait a bit.

the same rule applies as the old tried and true "1/2 an hour before swimming". Depending upon the intensity of the workout, you may want to wait up to 2 hours.
