This is my favorite cake! It is rich, dense and has enough intense chocolate flavor to make even the most diehard chocoholic swoon. A 10 inch cake serves at least 12 people. Serve it with plenty of coffee.

Chocolate Decadence

1 lb butter
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons sugar
1 cup strong coffee
2 teaspoons strong coffee
12 ounces semisweet chocolate
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
8 eggs

And no-there isnt any flour in this recipe!

Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 10 inch springform pan.

"Flour" it with unsweetened cocoa.

Over low heat melt the butter, sugar and coffee together-whisk well.

Add both chocolates and whisk until melted.

Remove from heat and add slightly beaten eggs.

Whisk throughly. It will be runny. Don't worry, that's normal.

Pour into the springform pan.

Bake for 50 minutes.

The Decadance will be a little puffy and then it will collapse into a dense form in the pan.

Chill overnight!

Cut with a sharp, wet knife and serve with raspberry sauce.

Easy Raspberry Sauce

1 (10 ounce) package frozen raspberries in light syrup, thawed
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon orange liqueur (optional)

Put raspberries in a food processor and puree.

Strain to remove seeds (if you are feeling ambitious).

Add lemon juice and orange liquer if desired.

Serve over Chocolate Decadence. (Or pound cake, ice cream, brownies - whatever you wish.)

Angel Food Cake is the best in my opinon. It's light, fluffy, and very low calorie! You can frost it if you like, but it's such a yummy cake, that there's no need for it!
