Spiritual to Master the Human Body, Mind

2006-12-11 13:12:47 · answer #2 · answered by Hiqutipie 5 · 0 1

Yes, I believe that we are spiritual beings having an experience in a human form.

In Jewish prayer, for example, each morning G-d is thanked for returning our souls to us.

Many faiths believe that the soul leaves the body during sleep and returns to it upon awakening.

I personally believe this. I believe that when I pass on, my soul will be released from my body, to resume it's existence outside of this reality. I do not necessarily, however, believe in a heaven or a hell, although I do believe in the eternal existence, both before birth and after so-called death, of our spirits, or our souls.

No we are not. It's a fiction. If you think about it, it makes no sense for spiritual beings to take on a material form of any kind.

No, humans are destined to have a body.

1 Corinthians 15
42So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. 48As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.

Jesus explained this.

John 4
[Jesus said] 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." 25The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." 26Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."

In truth, we are only spiritual beings, the image and likeness of God. In our error, we appear in the human form, and this consciousness lasts until we overcome it with truth. We must toss the old wine to make room for new.

YES. We have taken a human body here on "the Earth School" for the purpose of learning, for our souls' evolution. For more on this, I think u might like books by Barbara Deangelis and Dr. Wayne Dyer.

The Jews believed in integration...that there is no separation between spirit/soul/body. The Greeks believed in extreme separation. The Bible suggests both ideas. Just understand that ultimately, we end up in spirit form ;-)

Upon lack of existence all questions of existence are to be responded. I carry this idea close to and expensive to my heart for I somewhat have many questions. I have a tendency to believe Tolstoy. i believe the non secular area of humanity is extra complicated and worthwhile than the human type.

Is that a question or a statement? I like your hat.

For the most part, we are humans and become spiritual based on decisions we make about God.

NO! We are dust-clay beings who became MORTAL souls after the breath of God was breathed thru our nostrils!

Gen 2:7 And the Lord God made man from the dust of the earth, breathing into him the breath of life: and man became a living soul.

And YES! Souls are MORTAL! They can die!

Eze 18:20 The soul who sins shall die!
