Anyone who drinks a half gallon of whiskey a day is well on their way to death. You can find a chart of the number of people killed by drugs at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/library/basicfax3.htm

Mixing alcohol with anything ranks up at the top for potential for death.

Ignore the people who tell you to call the cops. All the cops can do is put him in jail. Putting a person in jail when they have problems does not solve those problems. It only makes matters worse.

Do an intervention with relatives and co workers and friends to make him realize all of you care about his health and well being. Call a rehab clinic and get their advice and help doing this. Sooner than later he is going to O.D. If that doesn't work, turn him in to the police. Jail time and possibly a probation requiring him to get help or go to the Big House may wake him up cause at this rate he has 2 things to look forward to: Death or Prison!!! Help to steer him in the right direction. By all means INTERVENE NOW!!!!!

Of course he wont go,someone has to step in and get professional help.Usually mom,dad or spouse can have him admitted to a mental facility and judging from his addiction he needed this 6 mos. ago.You must find a way to intervene or else just leave and wait on him to die(it's coming).Leaving takes guilt away from you,if you stay and do nothing the outcome will still be the same.Get him some help ie: police or some sort of institution that deals with his mental and physical well being.Good Luck!!

By the time you read this he may already be dead. I have known many people that haven't made it with even less of a history. If he can be arrested and committed all the better.

I'm surprised he's still breathing. Can you have him committed (yes, that's a serious question)?
