According to islamic teaching Allah created this Universe the skies and this earth with all of its contents in six periods and then Allah went to Arash in the seventh level of skies.Allah created also heaven and hell in the sky.So before Allah created something Allah is in the highest level of the sky.

Read the book of Genesis, starting with Chapter 1, to see if you can figure it out for yourself. Find out who God is, and that will tell you where He was.

There is no "before" in relation to creation. God created time and exists outside of it. He controls it.

If time began with creation, there can be no reverse reference.

well i believe that God is outside of the world we know. i think the word for it is transendant... which means outside of matter, energy, space, and time. I believe God is just there watching over us and he had always been there, there was just Him and Jesus and the Holy Spirit and they just were there.... its weird to think about, but i think its just a test of faith, like if you really believe He's there...
