Are all multi-millionaire pastors crooks?

Would you be more likely inclined to believe someone that went from rags to ritches and could prove 100% that he /or she didn't make a cent of thier monies from the church??

I wouldn't be more inclined to believe them. However, if they used part of their multi-millions to aid charities, donated to churches, etc. and showed that they truly cared about the things they preached, then I would.

Yes. For one thing, the money is intended to serve other people, not the pastor. Of course the pastor needs a home and food on the table, but the church is also supposed to help the needy, not get the pastor iced out. Also, the money is made by taking advantage of tax loopholes for churches (so much for "rendering unto Caesar!)

If someone who made a lot of money decided s/he'd done all s/he wanted in business and went to seminary and became a pastor, I would think that was awesome for the person to follow all their dreams in life.

Maybe they started out with good intentions or not, and maybe they still think they are doing the right thing. Who knows, there are definately a few that are soooo fake.

The preachers on TV who say, "For the next $1,000 gift I feel a great miracle coming on for this person." What a dumbass, life is a miracle and a series of miracles, pain, learning, etc... People like that are most likely con men or women.

I would think most multi-millionaire pastors if they made their money off of Christianity are crooks. There may be those whose wealth came from other business or inheritance etc, that may be legitimate.

the Lord looks at the heart, and so should we. Money can destroy anyone, Pastor or not- There are some very sincere pastors who probably make a lot of money- it is how they live there lives as Shepherds of the flock that matter. To that working pastor- continue serving Him, to the "rich" pastor serve Him and remember that He is the one that provided and He is the one you are to serve.

Are all multi-millionaire pastors crooks?
You asked it, not me.

Some may not get caught and exposed but they are indeed out there in the wicked system.

They are used car salesmen who found a better gig. Instead of selling lemons to unsuspecting buyers they're selling salvation to the gullible. If you can point one out that lives modestly and uses the church offerings to help mankind, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Good luck.

I think you generalize too much now. For example Rick Warren has made many millions with his books etc.but he actually uses the money according to God's will and gives it back to church to help thousands.

Absolutely.

I find it hard to believe that anyone can fully comprehend the teachings of a penniless itinerant carpenter when he himself drives a porche and owns five houses.

Unfortunately many people drift away from the Lord. We are human, and we are not perfect. All we can do is help these people come closer to the Lord. Money is irrelevant in my mind, but I do think it can cause undesirable thoughts and actions in many people.
