I declined the added flavoring option at our pharmacy today because it usually does not help. My son cannot take this medication without becoming nauseated. Any suggestions?

i'd load him up with something starchy before taking the tamiflu... like salty french fries baked like in the oven .. i know that if he's sick he probably is not gonna want to eat much but make sure that he has mor solid then fluid in the belly before taking it...

after the tamiflu... give him ginger.. either ginger ale... or ginger cookies... i learned that if you give children fluid in "shot size" cups and only once every 25 mins they hold it down better...

ginger cookies help with the nausea and are a nice starchy treat... less likely to come up...

good luck hope he feels better!!!

I learned to just swallow as fast as I could so I wouldn't have to taste it. But if your son's stomach is in fact trying to act up, try giving him tea with ginger in it, or a few spoons of coke classic: Both are good for settling uneasy tummies.

Good luck!
