I seem to make a lot of girls nervous when I first meet them. I have a lot of tattoos, most of them are from prison, I drink a lot and get into kind of a lot of fights. Once girls get to know me, they can look past all that, I'm really a nice guy. I need suggestions on how to get girls to look past the first impression that they usually get and give me a chance.

most girls (myself included) love "bad boys" and all i can tell ya is to hang out with some different girls. some girls you'll never get to and they'll never take the time to get to know you

May not b 2 much u can do here. It's 2 bad that a lot of people make first impression "decisions" based strictly off of what they see. So you're all tatted up (that's just 2 sexy in my opinion) and I guess some chics can find that intimidating. You mentioned something about prison-that's okay 2 but I've found that if you spent more than 5 years in jail, you're most likely "institutionalized". That means you got a little 2 comfortable with the prison life and now that you're on the "outside" you may still behave like you're still in prison. Not saying there's anything with wrong with a few drinks when you're out partying, but if you wanna get closer to the ladies, you may wanna slow down on the drinking and a$$ whoppin''! (smile) I think that's HOT! A man that can hold his liquor and protect me? Where do I sign up? (LOL) Good luck and if you need more advice, e-mail direct!!

Cover the tattoos--if you feel they give a bad impression. Wear long sleeves. Keep the language clean. Stay sober. No fighting. If the pick-up is in a bar--that is about what you will get. You seem like a fairly intelligent guy and you are asking a fairly intelligent question. If you know these things hinder you, you are smart enough to know what to do. Right?? Clean up the act. Right? No insult intended, just plain hard facts. Seriously. Good Luck. Oh, yes, Smile also.

Look man, its game over. Quit drinking so much and getting into fights! No chick wants a violent guy! That makes them feel you will hit them.
I dont want to sound like an asshole, but you need to grow up from this very aggressive attitude you are baring. Women like bad boys, but they dont want a guy that might potentially harm them. In order for women to see who you really are, you need to show them the real you and not the you that is violent.
Time to start acting like a man instead of an angry boy. Be responsible for your actions and get clean. Stop the fighting or going to places you know you will get into a fight at. That tattoos you will have a harder time removing so you really have to work on showing your sweeter, gentler side. If you are really a nice guy, you need to act like it. First impressions are everything! Make yours right!

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't even date someone who has been in prison.
Maybe you are a nice guy, but appearances do matter. Prison tats usually look crappy and not to mention you are playing with fire making tatoos in prison. Have you been tested for Hepatitis?
Saying that you drink a lot, you've been in prison, and you get in fights right there tells me that in all likelyhood, you are a very irresponsible person. There is nothing fun about always having to worry about bailing your butt out of jail again. Women don't want the hassle.

Well, my first suggestion is....when you first meet a girl, don't drink, and don't get into a fight. Let her get used to you first then get wasted and kick someone's butt.
Tattoos are bad, going to prison is depending on why you were there but, if someone really likes you they will be able to look past all that either way.

Nope, I think they just like the idea of a bad boy. You know, like that a bad boy won't take any crap, they do their own thing, a strong character. Women don't like sheep, they like men. A bad boy image is a "manly" image. Image, I think, is actually more important to a woman than actually being bad. No one likes a person that truly does bad things. You would do well to just be a good guy with a bad boy image. You're attractive enough, you shouldn't have to resort to criminality. Keep out of trouble, you've already done the lawbreaker thing. It's time to move on.

Not that bad, girls like guys to be cocky because they want a challenge, lay off the booze and fights, just try to be a nice guy, but a cocky one, like be a nice guy with the attitude you are the hottest person in this buliding and you could have anyone.

Just be nice. Try not to get into drunken brawls. A girl wants a guy she can bring home to mom and dad and have them approve. Try to straighten up and she'll see the real nice guy.
