Like they lose something, they spell it 'loose'. I see this too many times that it can't all be typos. I think some really think that's how it's spelled.Simple word,simple spelling.....sheeesh.

Ok,maybe I'm nitpicking. But another petpeeve is the saying ' that said' or 'having said that'. These are wasted words. Yes we heard that you just said that you don't have to say 'having said that'. It seems just in the past few years this saying has come into use/overuse.

I think they get mixed up because it should be spelled similar to choose. As soon as I complain about it, I accidentally type it wrong myself.

Spelling errors are a consistent irritant...that is like no person right here makes use of the verify Spelling link in the previous sending...the only different element that's greater traumatic is the unfavorable grammar!

The English Language -- it takes a while to master the spelling and usage of words and even then it is never close to perfection. Common mix-ups are usage of words like bath vs bathe , its vs it's , lend vs loan. Mastery of language requires practice and conscious effort.

Lose vs. Loose is one of the most common misspellings in the English language. However, many of those same people seem to remember how to correctly spell "loser" (possibly because they yell it so often at those who tell them that it's "lose" and not "loose".

What is also very prevalent is the phrase "we've got" or "I've got". The combination of have and got is incorrect grammar and yet are so common that it is even in advertising for large, professional businesses.

I do that all the time with that word. Just have a mental block on loose, lose.... Sorry.

they are both words, and the spell checker does not catch it. if you leave you finger on the o to long it repeats. and we are in to big a hurry to preview.
just hit the spell check and submit.

then I get embarrassed when i reread it.

Another over used word is "absolutely"!
